Changing my weekend around: pickling on Sunday and dehydrating corn on Saturday.
A dozen ears of sweet corn...
reduced to a quart jar.
For the pickling I did 6 more pints of bread and butter pickles. Things always take longer than I expect, but preserving food is important.

I still don't know what 'bread and butter pickles' are. Why do you dehydrate your corn?? What do you use it for?
Bread and butter pickles are a sweet pickle made with cucumbers and onions. I don't care for it, but my parents love it.
The dried corn is nice because it takes so little space and doesn't need to be frozen. It wouldn't be great as a stand alone dish but works nicely in stews or pies.
