Move more

I needed to drop off my utilities payment tonight so grabbed my car keys and walked out to the street; where I stopped and wondered why I would drive two blocks when it was so warm out (23F, wind chill of 12F). Especially when I had been annoyed by my lack of exercise! Thus, I went for a walk.

Some new additions were visiting the bird feeders today, three mourning doves. Loki sat in the porch window and made that weird, hunting-cat noise at them.

We only got 3" of snow with yesterday's storm. Hopefully, the doom-sayers calling for another 30 to 40 inches this month are just being silly. Will have to wait and see on the next system coming through this week.

More training in the ER for work. It's not bad when there are people around, but I don't like the feeling of isolation in the late evening. Very glad I'm not slated to work the 11 pm to 7 am shift.

Thanks I like hearing about your winter messes. Makes me really glad I live in West Texas. Just a thought. Can you not drop outgoing mail at your business office when you get to work where the mailman can pick up at the same time he drops off the mail? This would save the extra exposure risks. Good luck.

We've had the same dire predictions, but the 3-5 inches predicted on Sunday, sputtered out at about an inch. However, I am rather tired of all the weather fronts arriving with 50 mph gusts. I agree - I think time drags on, when you are alone and there is nothing to distract you. That must have been a 'brisk' walk!

It was "so warm out" at 23F, eh? And with a wind chill no less! Hey, if we weren't tough, we would live in Florida!

I know they say we get our largest amounts of snowfall here in MN in March, but so far we've had a LOT of melting (rain for a couple of days this past week). Now it's just cold again and we have to navigate ice, ice, ice both in vehicles and on foot. I'd rather have snow. :o(

If I'm not being too nosy, I thought you were in administration at the hospital, but you say you had training in the ER. Are you actively nursing?

I think it felt warm because of the constant bitter cold we've been living with for so many weeks. It's still 30-40 degrees warmer than it was and I keep wondering when it will smack us down with more winter.

The ER desk requires extra training because all communication goes through it after hours. So, for example, if a doctor wants a radiologist, they call us and we get them on the way. No nursing for me!

It doesn't sound like spring at your place!

I hope the snow is gone sooner than later, but then I always have false hopes this time of year lol...
