Weather causes mood?

Yesterday was nice. Wearing a heavy jacket, cleaning out some of the garden beds, even making a tiny start on cleaning the chicken coop. Today, back to winter coat; cold, rain, wind - all around yuck and my mood went crashing down to borderline depressed.

I can only hope the weatherman is right and tomorrow will show up with some sunshine. Just give me an excuse to go outside and muck around in some really ripe chicken shit. :)

I think there have been studies done that prove fairly conclusively that not only the weather but our whole environment affects our mental/emotional feelings. The trick is to be able to go with/flow with (and change what we can) our mindset when smacked upside the head with a day that doesn't suit our desires.

Geesh, hope that didn't sound preachy because we have fairly heavy rain today (which is creating MORE MUD), it's dark and gloomy (cold, too), and I had finally gotten up the courage to do some things outside I've been putting off for too long. Screeeeech! Change my whole plan for the day . . . and not be grumpy about it. :o) We're supposed to get sunshine tomorrow, too. Yay!!
